The best way to save money is get together with some tribe or class members and learn how to make your own costumes. I am at a disadvantage because I can't sew to save my life, so like you I am always searching for a good deal!!
For class I buy Yoga Pants at any local department store and wear a Hip Scarf or the rosehip skirts over the pants. I have only a few performance worthy pants, cholis and skirts!
